The Queensland Compact
Over a twelve month period, more than 30 state-wide human services, peak organisations and networks worked with representatives from the Queensland Government to draft the
Queensland Compact: towards a fairer Queensland.
This is the first time a set of principles have been set out to guide the way in which government and non-government human services work together.
The Compact represents a significant step towards a better working relationship by:
- providing a framework to guide the relationship;
- identifying shared goals;
- outlining shared commitments to work together; and
- clarifying the responsibilities and expectations of each party.
